Mexico was the threshold. My first step into the unknown. What followed was a deepening—into nature, culture, and the kind of presence I had only imagined. Explore the journey below.

A mix of field-tested insights and lived moments. Where I stayed, how I worked, what helped, what I’d changed, and how each place felt beyond the photos.
Mexico became my long-term base, a federation of 32 distinct regions, 31 states plus Mexico City, each with its own rhythm, landscape and traditions. It’s a land where deserts merge into jungle, volcanoes soar over plazas and coastal villages hum with local life.
Across the country you’ll find more than 175 designated Pueblos Mágicos, magic towns celebrated for their heritage and charm, and 36 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, from ancient ruins and colonial centers to biosphere reserves that protect rare ecosystems. At the same time, its cuisine is honored internationally: traditional Mexican cooking was inscribed by UNESCO in 2010 as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, recognizing its entire food-culture chain.
So when you visit the places I describe here, you’re not just passing through travel hotspots. You’re stepping into stories of community, soil and history.
The story of how I landed in Mexico, through turbulence, curiosity, and a quiet kind of courage. This is where the shift began.
This is where it started. Not the trip. The shift.
Had I never come here, I might still be waiting for the fear to pass.
